Bringing a taste of Florence to Dubai, the newly opened restaurant, The Artisan is a concept derived from the famous Enoteca Pinchiorri from Italy which was founded by Three Michelin Star Chef, Annie FÃ©olde and Giorgio Pinchiorri. Sticking true to its roots, The Artisan serves delectable dishes, boasts a fine wine collection and has an amazing atmosphere.

-Steak Tartare with creamy white and yellow dressing: It was flavourful and so delicious. (Dhs90)
-Fried Zucchini flowers stuffed with Buffalo Mozzarela and Tuscan Pesto: The zucchini was crisp and crunchy and the melted mozzarella just added to the flavour. Order this only if you love fried food (Dhs 70)
-Sweet beetroot salad tossed with yoghurt and hazelnuts: Have tried so many versions of this previously but I have to say this one was great. It was light, fresh and so healthy. (Dhs40)
-Lamb Chops Scottadito: Served with a bell pepper mix this was good but maybe not the best (Dhs185)
-Seasalt crusted seabass with signature virgin sauce: As soon as the chef prepared this dish, what came to my table was a bulky battered fish with the centre totally popping out. So apparently the fillet was cooked inside this outer egg batter encrusted with sea salt. After this was shown to me they took it inside to cut it out and remove my fillet. (See pictures) Honestly, I wish wasnâ€™t shown the first bit because it looked a little weird. The actual fillet tasted good but lacked flavour. What I loved was the tomato and caper mix on top. -The Artisan Profiterole: Loved it! For those who arenâ€™t aware, a profiterole is a French choux pastry ball usually filled with cream custard or icecream. This one was more like a custard filling inside, the pastry was soft and covered in chocolate. (Dhs55)
-I have to admit, my first impression was very good. Dark coloured doors, a beautiful trinket chandelier, romantic set ups, beautiful artistic paintings, blue and silver interiors and fine cutlery from Florence made up the amazing ambience. On a weekday, the restaurant had quite a few busy tables.
– The salads, small bites and desserts are extremely well priced here.
– Some dishes were good but some just failed to hit the spot.
Service:Â Good service (could have been better with recommendations). They have a sommelier too.
Bill: Prices next to the dishes. I thought this place was very well priced as compared to its DIFC companions.
