If you love your breakfast as much as I do, then this place is a must visit. I was lucky enough to try this meal three days before the highly anticipated opening. Trust me, its heaven for every foodie!
Name:Â Cocoa Room
Location:Â Galleria Mall, Al Wasl Road
Cuisine:Â American
Ideal for:Â Breakfast (My Current favourite spot)
What I ate:
-Wild Mushroom Benedict: A home croissant topped with an egg, mushroom, hollandaise sauce, shaved truffle and truffle oil. This was the best combination and my favorite dish on the menu!
-Scrambled Egg Money Bag: This dim sum looking bag is filled with scrambled egg, shaved black truffles, roasted macademia nuts, fresh cream, parmesan and truffle oil. Loved the presentation but found the truffle a little too overwhelming.
-For dessert we tried the Nutella French Toast: This was not a regular French toast. It was a big loaf which was soft and mushy, topped with toffee sauce and when you cut through it you will find a generous amount of Nutella stuffed inside. It is absolutely divine and a must try! (See the video)
-Brownie Pancake: When you think of a pancake you expect round little ones but instead this was a huge loaf of brownie covered entirely with chocolate flakes and when you cut through it you find a pool of chocolate ganache flowing out. Words can’t describe how amazing this was!
-Salted Caramel & Burnt Marshmallow Hot Chocolate: You definitely cannot leave this place without trying this heavenly drink. It’s like one of those images on Pinterest which is too pretty to be real. The perfectly caramelised marshmallow is definitely the hero of the drink. (See the video)
-Mayan Hot Chocolate: This was a regular hot chocolate with cinnamon (could have been thicker) I preferred the Salted caramel & Burnt Marshmallow Hot Chocolate over this.
My experience:
– I absolutely loved their menu. It is so different and every section has so many varieties, from sandwiches to benedicts to a zillion kind of eggs and their dessert menu is unreal.
-Firstly, their quantity is just fantastic. The breakfast dishes are good for two and desserts good for three. Secondly, their presentation is top notch. Every dish is unique and decorated so well.
-The interiors are fun and artsy with a lot of natural light coming in making it so relaxing and comforting.
-The desserts here not only melt in your mouth but also melt your heart making it the most satisfying meal ever. It’s that kind of breakfast that you always dream about and trust me once you’ve tried it, you’ll always come back for more.
Service:Â The staff was extremely sweet and great with suggestions.
