The one thing I love about this city is the variety of tea and coffee places that it has to offer. On a recent scout I came across these locations that serve the best hi-tea in town and one that is a unique coffee space. They were all so amazing and I recommend you to try them out.
Fortnum & Mason
Located across the lake near the foot of Burj Khalifa is this iconic Fortnum and Mason which serves the quintessential British Hi Tea experience. Spread over three floors and overlooking the fountain and Burj Khalifa, this is indeed the most ideal tea setting ever. The ground floor is a retail space selling their delicious jams and teas. On the first floor is the tea salon which has a terrace with magnificent views. The second floor is a designated parlor which serves ice creams, macaroons and their delicious house cakes.
I tried their Classic Afternoon Tea and was spoilt for choice. The Hi-Tea started with their famous apple tea which was followed by a three tier stand with tea treats. We were served a variety of fresh finger sandwiches, scrumptious scones, macaroons, brownie along with butter and homemade jams. We also get to pick a cake slice of our choice. The cutlery here is so tiffany like and the experience so British. If you really want to experience London’s famous Hi-Tea in Dubai then this is a must visit.

La Farine at JW Mariott Marquis
This contemporary French cafe and bakery in the world’s tallest hotel is nothing short of spectacular. Plush black interiors, tall ceilings and mirrored reflection, a touch of velvet and the fragrance of fresh treats, this cafe is one of the best places for an afternoon tea. The Hi-Tea platter consists of finger sandwiches, tea of your choice, macaroons, eclairs, tarts, fruit cups, pastries, cupcakes, fresh hot scones served with blueberry jam and clotted cream and much more. This signature experience is worth every penny spent.

Rose Leaf Cafe
Nestled in a corner of Dubai Garden Centre is a hidden gem, Rose Leaf Cafe. The menu here is simple and fuss free, almost giving it a homely touch. They serve delicious salads, sandwiches, bagels, wraps, quiche and cakes, all of them are usually on display. This is the best spot to just read a book, work on your laptop or catch up with your girlfriend. The outdoor seating is like a greenhouse, totally makes you forget about the stressful life. I loved their blueberry cake and salmon bagel with capers. If you haven’t yet visited this secret sanctuary then you’re definitely missing out on something.
