The current pandemic has got everybody to realise and appreciate the smaller and simpler things in life. Spending time with family has never been more precious and what better way to make the most of your time than indulge in some fun indoor games while you’re quarantined. During the lockdown I’ve realised how much I enjoy these game nights with loved ones more than a night out with friends in loud noisy places. Not only are these games competitive but also a great way to get to know your family or partner better. If you have kids at home this also the best way to get them away from some screen time and work on that family bonding. Sharing some of my favourite ones, highly recommend trying these out on your next girls night or a family reunion, you won’t regret it!
Catan
Picture yourself in the era of discoveries: after a long voyage of great deprivation, your ships have finally reached the coast of an uncharted island. We have been obsessed with this award winning strategy game where you have to collect resources and use them to build roads, settlements and cities. Play this game when you have a lot of time in hand, it can take upto 4 hours but it’s worth it.
No of Players: If you buy the extension, which I highly recommend you to, then you can play the game with 6 players or else only 4.

Monopoly/ Monopoly Deal
An oldie but a goldie! This fast dealing property game can create so much competition and make the game so thrilling. If you’re a bit short on time and want to play a quicker version pick the Monopoly Deal Cards, its faster and equally crazy!

If you’ve played Taboo I would say this is a more exciting and smarter version of that. We spent the entire quarantine playing this with our family and friends. You can make two teams and each of them have a spymaster who will explain the word by giving out clues. You can either get the board game or play it online.

One of my favourite drinking games! Play this with a crazy group of people, remember the cards can get a bit nasty and funny so totally avoid this with family, if you know what I mean 😉

Cards Against Humanity
Nasty, crazy, funny and mad- just some of the ways to describe this drinking game. Best played with a group of fun friends and a couple of drinks. It’s the perfect party game which will have your crowd in splits.

Sequence
This strategy game is one of my favourites. Back home we play this with our parents too. You can play it in three teams if you like or individually, all you have to do is make a sequence of five chips in your preferred colour. I love how competitive it gets, it’s so much fun playing it with your parents too!
