Summer Chic

It’s that time of the year when your makeup gets lighter, heels shorter and you just want to laze around in your most comfortable dresses. Well, that’s what summer is for!

So if you’re looking at making a style statement effortlessly, why not try a shirtdress! If you’re wondering what that is, well, it’s basically a long shirt worn as a dress, a wardrobe staple these days. All you have to do is pick one of those long loose shirts lying in your closet and style it differently. Alternatively, you could also grab any of the long kurtas or t-shirts.

It’s usually the shoes that set the tone of this outfit. For a casual look, pair it with flats, sneakers or gladiators and accessorise it with a scarf or a hat. You could opt for wedges or stilettos for a glamorous look. For a classic take you add a blazer and for an edgy vibe rock it with a leather jacket.  If your dress seems too loose, clinch it at the waist with a big fancy belt that accentuates your silhouette. Don’t like belts? Then pick a scarf and nip it around your waist stylishly. You can also layer an open buttoned shirt over your t-shirt dress and add lots of necklaces. Also if styled with a hat, flip flops, chunky bracelets, scarf and a beach bag you’re all set for a summer vacation.

For this look, I decided to put on my summer hat with a tshirt dress and heels (hate flat shoes).
P.S- Feel free to raid your father, brother or husband’s wardrobe!
