As we are heading towards the end of the year, I’ve seen some fun hair, makeup and beauty trends doing the rounds in the last few months. With a zillion looks being showcased on the runway there are quite a few that we can recreate or follow in our daily lives. From electric hues and beachy waves to nude palettes and bold lips, this year’s make up is all about crazy transformations. Apart from the edgy looks, there are some new skincare fads and cool hair trends that are making a comeback this season. Of all the things I’ve seen this year, these 10 trends are definitely on the top of my list!
1) Yellow eyeshadow
Fresh, spirited and dynamically fashionable, yellow when smeared across the eyelid conveys a carefree yet bold zest. The key to acing this trend? Keep the rest of the face minimal. I honestly loved trying this out, it’s the perfect look for a fun brunch or a crazy night out!

2) Blue/ Green eyeshadow
Hailing from the peacock palette, blue and green on the eyelids are up on the makeup charts lately and my current beauty favourites too. Swipe this electric tint on the eyes and leave the lips nude. While at it, make sure your clothes don’t clash with the eyes.
3) Coloured eyeliners
It’s time for the classic black eyeliner to take a step back this season. 2018 is all about that coloured wing eyeliner. Play around with pinks, emerald, turquoise and all the bright hues to see what looks the best. It is definitely the best way to make a bold statement.
4) Glossy lips
Glossy lips are really big this season. With just a dab of gloss on the lips and strobes of highlighter on the cheek bone, your summer look is on point. Plain and sensual, the fresh lip is here to stay.

5) Rose Gold Makeup
The rosy metallic tint that had been flaunting it’s tones and touches in ethnic fashion has now encroached the beauty space. Rose gold eyelids have conveniently and quite elegantly replaced the family of browns. Feminine and sophisticated, rose gold makeup is raging in!

6) Hair Pins and Claw Clips
The black bobby pins that you loved in school are a sensation on every runway and totally back in trend! It’s the best way to revive your childhood memories with a contemporary twist. Wear them in a line or criss cross, this is surely the best way to deal with second day hair.
7) Fresh Face
There is nothing more enticing and truly beautiful than a natural glow on the face. This is pretty much my daily beauty routine. In order to get that fresh face look, just wear your sunscreen and a light base, a tad bit of mascara, a little bit of pinkish nude blush and a dab of light lip gloss and Voila! You’re all set..
8) Face Oils
With the number of face oils that are coming up, we know that these are definitely the new super heroes in the skincare market. Moisturized and hydrated skin is an absolute essential these days. There are tons of brands like Sunday Riley, Kiehl’s, Origin, Darphin, Clarins, Caudalie, Clinique, Drunk Elephant etc that have been known to take your skin to the next level of radiance. Say hello to a glowing face!
9) Facial Rollers:
Known as the ultimate tool from the Eastern Chinese Medicine, these micro needling facial rollers are every millennials latest obsession. Not only do they help with lymphatic drainage but also increase collagen and tone the face muscles. The jade and the quartz rollers are currently on my shopping list. Just make sure to get a sterile or disposable one to avoid any bacterial infections.
10) Glittery eyes
Adding some sizzling drama to your face, this makeup trend is here to steal the show this year. Try your hands at glitter lips, glitter eyeliner, glitter freckles and of course, glitter eyelids!
